KOTRA announced on the 8th that it held the "Best Products Exhibition in South East Asia and Oceania Online Korea" for two weeks from the 25th of last month.
Before the product, 128 small and medium-sized companies and 181 buyers attracted by 15 foreign trade centers, including Bangkok, Hanoi, Singapore and Sydney, respectively.
At the event, which was organized for companies that are unable to participate in overseas exhibitions due to the Covid-19 (new coronavirus infection), KOTRA promoted excellent products through online videos while promoting influencer marketing. It also supported video counseling and entry into distribution network.
In particular, the exhibition featured popular consumer goods such as food, beauty products, baby products, household goods, healthcare, and pet products. "We were mainly helped in the process of producing video clips for promoting products," said A, a baby product manufacturer who participated in the product exhibition. "We expect it to be a new opportunity to find new buyers."
The online Korea Excellent Products Exhibition, which was held for the second time after China in April, will be held in June and July for buyers in CIS, Japan, and Southwest Asia, and items will also be expanded to ICT, parts, and equipment.
[이데일리 경계영 기자] 코트라(KOTRA)는 지난달 25일부터 2주간 ‘동남아·대양주 온라인 한국 우수상품전’을 열었다고 8일 밝혔다.
상품전엔 중소·중견기업 128개사와 방콕·하노이·싱가포르·시드니 등 해외무역관 15곳이 유치한 바이어 181개사가 각각 함께했다.
코로나19(신종 코로나바이러스 감염증) 사태로 해외전시회에 직접 참가하기 어려운 기업을 위해 마련한 이번 행사에서 코트라는 온라인상 동영상으로 우수 상품을 홍보하면서 인플루언서 마케팅을 병행했다. 화상 상담과 유통망 입점도 지원했다.
특히 이번 상품전엔 식품, 뷰티용품, 유아용품, 생활용품, 헬스케어, 반려동물 제품 등 현지에서 인기가 많은 소비재가 주를 이뤘다. 상품전에 참가한 유아용품 제조기업 A사는 “제품 홍보용 동영상을 제작하는 과정에서 주로 도움을 받았다”며 “신규 바이어를 발굴하는 새로운 기회가 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
4월 중국에 이어 두 번째로 열린 온라인 한국 우수상품전은 6·7월 CIS(독립국가연합)과 일본, 서남아 지역 바이어를 대상으로 열리고 품목도 ICT, 부품·기자재 등으로 확대될 예정이다.
